My poor blog’s been neglected, and to a certain extent, so has my son.¬† Steve and I have been working LATE for several nights this month getting the office set up and ready for patients.

Calvin, playing peek-a-boo
Last night, we worked at the office until 1 A.M. (Calvin slept soundly in his pack ‘n play in his designated romp room).¬† However, even though we felt like we accomplished a lot regarding Ikea furniture assembly, creating patient forms, and hanging posters, we really did a number on ourselves with a super late bedtime.
Calvin stirred sometime around 4 a.m., and I thought I was dreaming when I faintly heard him crying.¬† He did the same thing around 5 or 6 a.m., but we were too dogged out exhausted to take care of him until 7.¬† The poor thing awoke with a NASTY diaper rash–he’d been in a mucky diaper far too long.
I’m sure this is only the beginning of the endless amounts of guilt I will encounter as a working mom.¬† But, I will begin with going to bed earlier so I can take care of my early riser.
As for you, my Dear Readers, I will do my best to continue to post on pertinent parenthood things, baby travel things, and Calvin photos.
I’m pleased to announce that Traveling with Baby is featured on 5 Minutes for Mom as well as my exclusive interview.¬†¬† Definitely check it out!
Also, stop by Deep South Moms on Tuesday, December 16th to read about our traveling adventures.¬† There’s some great lessons learned on what to expect for airline travel when you forget your photo I.D. (that’s what happens when you’re starting a business and juggling the mommy and wife roles, too–brain overload and things get forgotten).¬† But hey, we survived, and (sneak preview), they let me on board!
