With more pockets than the jeans department at GAP, the perfectly practical laptop backpack by Laurex helps me stay organized whether I’m working from home or hopping around town.
I know it looks massive on me. Let’s face it, a 17″ laptop is no small piece of hardware to squeeze into a backpack. The Laurex backpack featured a padded interior compartment to keep it snug and secure.
One of the side pockets has a nifty net pocket water bottle holder that is revealed when unzipped.
The buckle flap closures make securing (and opening) the front flap simple and easy.
My favorite, the padded straps and back with breathable mesh to keep you cool on warm days and keep your back feeling supported and comfortable. That’s kinda important to this chiropractor mama!
Of all the laptop bags I’ve tried in the past two years, the Laurex laptop backpack is my favorite. The colorful and contrasting screen printing tangerine blossom design on red canvas is so much better than boring black. It’s downright eye-catching.
Based on the website images, I expected a tangerine fabric-lined interior. Instead, this bag is pink.
The middle zippered compartment inside the front flap has a compartment for a smart phone or ipod, pens, wallet, lip balm, and more. Two smaller zippered pouches in front have netted mesh to keep business cards and clean tissues separate from snacks, and hand wipes, or anything else you need to stowe.
There’s so much room in this bag, I could pack an extra change of clothes, folders for blogging conferences, macbook battery pack, and a couple of apples and pears.
The heavy duty zippers are sure to hold up to years of use. One of the front zippers kinda gets a little stuck, but I just used some silicone spray to ease it into submission, and I haven’t had a problem since.

When wanting to travel light, the Laurex laptop sleeve with strap is ideal. The screen printed padded neoprene sleeve. I was bummed to hear they no longer make the laptop sleeves for the 17″ Macbook Pro, however, they do make them large enough for a 15.6″ PC laptop–which is the type that Laurex sent me for review.
The red blossom laptop sleeve features a zippered closure with a hook and loop closure flap. The side opposite the screen printing also has an external zippered pocket to store pens, keys, business cards, and lip balm.
The handles can be folded inside the bag, and the shoulder strap is removable. The Laurex laptop sleeve is available in 5 colors/styles, and it retails for $33 – $42.99 on Amazon.com.
