The FoofBag is more like a fluffy, padded, and snug-fitting sock for your Macbook than just a plain’ ol’ sleeve. My sample was sent to me across the pond from Australia.
Definitely worth the wait for airmail.

The style featured is made from Japanese cotton, Nishikigoi. On the FoofShop site, there are 5 styles available in beautiful Japanese cotton prints. Also, there are 2 styles of 100% wool Irish tweed, 3 solid styles in 100% cotton corduroy, and 2 wild styles in acrylic tuft. What style suits your personality?
I fell for so many of the beautiful prints and textures at the Foof Shop, but ultimately, I decided upon the Nishikigoi because in Asian culture, fish is a symbol for wealth and prosperity. Plus, they’re just FUN!
The soft, inner lining is Sherpa fleece, which is made from acrylic and polyester, but feels and looks like a sheep’s fleece. It’s bonded to faux suede (polyester) and a 3mm layer of foam (non compressing). The plush, high quality interior doesn’t pill nor scratch.
Although, I haven’t had to run my foof through the the wash cycle (yet), the FoofShop website offers clear instructions on how to care for the stylish sleeve.
Of all the Macbook and PC laptop sleeves I’ve used over the years, the Foof is definitely the most snug-fitting sleeve I’ve used. Snug means safe. Not that it’ll protect against a drop kick or backing over your laptop with your car (I know people who’ve done this–NOT me), the Foof is great for protection against dust, and everyday wear and tear. It’s even great for protecting against greasy or sticky little fingerprints that seem to mark up everything around here.
(Yes, we do have soap and water…but, I have a 3 year-old boy).
No fooling around with snaps, velcro, zippers, or any other gadgets…it’s just a simple and beautiful sleeve that protects your Appleware.

Foof Shop definitely caters to apple branded products for sizing. They have a FoofBag for the iPad ($24) as well as the Macbook ($34), and a FoofPod ($16) for the iPod and iPhone. The prices listed are in Australian dollars which are slightly stronger than U.S. dollars by a few cents. Check the currency converter for more specifics.
Once you place an order online, it’ll get shipped within 2 business days. Arrival time is based on your location–you can expect 7 – 14 delivery days for International shipping. Shipping for the macbook Foofbag is $8.35 + $3 handling. For specifics on other items, check out the shipping link on the FoofShop site.
All in all, you can expect to pay $46.01 with shipping, handling, and the conversion rate for a Macbook FoofBag mailed to the United States. The FoofShop boasts the high quality fabrics with a duration that often outlasts the hardware they’re protecting.
Customer Care
Such a pleasure to work with Foof. You’re not blindly submitting your credit card info into a black hole of a website. There’s people on the other end that make you feel like you’re getting a personal touch for your order. Kinda makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside–like my FoofBag.
Show your Mac a little love and order a cool Foofbag. I’m particularly fond of how well it looks with my red blossom laptop backpack.
